Biographical Note

Edwin Marcus Chaffee was born on September 23, 1804 or 1806 in Massachusetts. He worked as a manufacturer of India rubber. Chaffee married Sarah Ann Simpson on May 23, 1830 in Boston, Massachusetts. He died on August 16, 1872 and was buried at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, Rhode Island.
