Biographical Note for Unitarian-Universalist Gay Community (1976-) : The Unitarian-Universalist Gay Caucus formed in 1976 as a political and social group that began informing its members of activities through publication of the Norfolk newspaper Our Own. The paper was one of the nation's oldest gay and lesbian newspapers when it declared bankrupcty and published its last issue in August 1998.
