Biographical Note for Tunstall, Virginia Hunter Lyne (1892-1988) : Virginia Hunter Lyne Tunstall was born on October 2, 1892 in Henderson, Kentucky. She married Robert Baylor Tunstall on June 28, 1916. The couple lived in Norfolk, Virginia for 10 years before moving to Richmond, Virginia in 1926, Cleveland, Ohio in 1936, and back to Norfolk in 1943. Tunstall was a prominent Virginia poet and Norfolk cultural leader. She helped establish the Norfolk Poets' Club and was a member of several organizations, including the Norfolk Society of Arts, Poetry Society of Virginia, and the German Clubs of Norfolk and Richmond. Tunstall died on January 20, 1988 and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
