Brief Description: Questionnaires completed by servicemembers and nurses who served during World War I from Norfolk, Virginia. Individual questionnaires ask for servicemembers' personal information, military service information, and thoughts and feelings about their service during the War. Questionnaires filled out by local churches and schools include statistical information and data on activities relating to financial contributions, general feelings, and patriotic activities implemented during the War. This collection also contains letters, reports, photographs, newsletters, and one 1919 map of the Naval Operating Base in Norfolk, Virginia.
