Biographical Note for Barnard, George Scott (1887-1930) : George Scott Barnard was born on January 17, 1887 in Virginia. He worked briefly as a clerk for W. H. Barnard & Company before becoming Vice-President of the company. Barnard moved to Richmond, Virginia and married Nellie Cooper Sutherland on October 27, 1909. At the time of his death, Barnard was a cashier for Southern Bank & Trust Company. He died on April 30, 1930 and was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Richmond, Virginia.
