Brief Description: Minutes, correspondence, clippings, and publications of the Sulgrave Committee of Norfolk, Virginia. The purpose of the group was to organize events and entertain guests during the October 5-7, 1920 ceremonies commemorating the House of Burgesses, Mayflower Compact, and landing of the pilgrim fathers. The object was to acknowledge peace and friendship between Great Britain and the United States. October 5 was Cape Henry and Norfolk Day, October 6 was Williamsburg Day, and October 7 was Jamestown Day.
