Brief Description: One 86-page typescript titled "Transcript of stenographer's notes taken at a dinner given at the Monticello Hotel Thursday evening, September 11, 1924 by the citizens of Norfolk in honor of the Honorable Albert L. Roper. Upon his retirement as Mayor and Chairman of the Council." There is a table of contents showing addresses spoken by individuals with accompanying page numbers; addresses were given by H. H. Rumble, Thomas H. Willcox, James V. Trehy, Mrs. Frantz Nayor, Dr. J. W. Moore, Mr. Robert E. Steed, Mr. Maurice G. Long, and Mr. Albert L. Roper.
