One 1871 address delivered at the laying of the cornerstone of the Masonic temple in Norfolk, Virginia.

Biographical Note

Wright Southgate Whittle was born on May 23, 1849. He attended the University of Virginia and graduated with a Bachelors of Law degree in 1870. He practiced law at Newton & Whittle. Whittle was a member of the freemasons at Owens Lodge in Norfolk, Virginia. He died on the night of October 19 or morning of October 20, 1872. Whittle's funeral was at Christ Church, and he was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
