Biographical Note

Dorothy Broughton Brennan was born on July 2, 1908 in Portsmouth, Virginia. She attended the College of William and Mary. Brennan married Kendall James Brennan on May 19, 1956 in Portsmouth, Virginia. She worked as a school teacher for several years, teaching at Great Bridge, South Norfolk, and Portsmouth schools in the Hampton Roads region. Brennan retired from the City Commissioner of the Revenue office in the city of Portsmouth. She died on September 28, 2003 and was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Portsmouth, Virginia.
