Scope and Contents of the Materials

Forty-one late 19th century to early 20th century photographs of people, ships, houses, and businesses. Identified geographic locations include Norfolk, Suffolk, Fort Monroe, and Mathews, Virginia. Several photographs may relate to the Jamestown Exposition in Norfolk, Virginia.

Photograph was previously labeled "Festival Carnival Hall Grocery Store." The sign in the right side of the photograph identifies a schedule of days of the week and times with several neighborhoods in Norfolk, Virginia. The same sign also mentions Exposition Grounds.
