Scope and Contents of the Materials

Photocopies of papers related to John H. Rand, a drummer musician for the 37th Regiment, United States Colored Infantry during the Civil War. The research was conducted circa 2010, and the photocopied documents cover the 1860s-1930s, of which many if not all originals are located in the National Archives.
