Scope and Contents of the Materials

Three scrapbook pages consisting of 18 photographs of the Norfolk Ferry, Little Creek-Cape Charles Ferry, and Malm and Scott families taken in April 1940 in Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia.

Biographical Note

Edward Malm, Jr. was born on January 28, 1913 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He worked various positions at John Wyeth & Brother, Inc., including driver and manager of the manufacturing plant in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Malm pursued photography as a hobby during his adult life and was a member of the South Philadelphia Camera Club. He married Helen Marie Wilmer in 1938. Malm died in Delaware County, Pennsylvania on December 26, 1966 and was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, Pennsylvania.
