Scope and Contents of the Materials

One legal notepad consisting of 16 pages written by W. R. Miller, Jr. from November 11, 1980 to July 12, 1981 detailing the formation of the Lynnhaven Sailing Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The logbook includes descriptions of meetings, roster of interested skippers, sale information for a MIT Tech dinghy, racing rules and specifications, and race results.

Biographical Note

The first meeting of the Lynnhaven Sailing Club was held on November 11, 1980 at Al Shoemaker's. The club was officially named on June 28, 1981. Membership dues at the club's inception were $10.
