Historical Note: Albert Preston Breeden was born on March 20, 1897 in Norfolk, Virginia. He served in World War I. Breeden married Harriet Lenz Anshutz in 1920. He worked for the City of Norfolk from 1920 to 1962 and served as City Auditor from 1934 until his retirement. Breeden was a member of Ruth Lodge No. 89. He died on October 12, 1972 in Virginia Beach, Virginia and was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia.
