Name: Hoggard, Horatio C. (1846-1919)

Historical Note: Horatio Cornick Hoggard was born on February 11, 1846 in Princess Anne County, Virginia. He married Mary Nash Herbert on December 19, 1871 in Princess Anne County, Virginia. Hoggard served in the Confederacy during the Civil War and was a past commander of the Pickett-Buchanan Camp of Confederate Veterans. He was also a member and vestryman of St. Paul's Protestant Episcopal Church. Hoggard worked in real estate for H. C. Hoggard & Company. He died on December 8, 1919 in Norfolk, Virginia and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
