Historical Note: The Jamestown Exposition Company was incorporated on March 10, 1902. Its purpose was to organize a grand exposition of international scale in Tidewater Virginia for the 300th anniversary of the permanent English-speaking settlement at Jamestown, Virginia in 1607.
