Brief Description: Ten transcribed letters featuring correspondence between Camilla Moore of Norfolk, Virginia and Sarah Elizabeth Valentine Allen. Nine of the letters were originally written by Camilla and range in date from May 29, 1860 to January 19, 1865. The tenth letter was originally written by Sarah and is dated January 18, 1848. The letters, transcribed by W. G. Blount, are prefaced by a cover page listing the letter by number, date, and original paper dimensions and description. Much of the content relates to daily life in Norfolk, particularly during Union occupation.
