Biographical Note

Nathaniel W. Paynter was born around 1820 in Virginia. He married Eliza S. Davidson on May 13, 1850 in Norfolk, Virginia. Paynter was a merchant. By 1860, he and his family had moved to Baltimore, Maryland. Paynter died on September 22, 1903 in Baltimore, Maryland and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
