Biographical Note

Margaret Gilbert Jones Schoenweiss was born on May 20, 1931 in Norfolk, Virginia. She graduated from Maury High School in 1949. Schoenweiss worked in sales for more than 13 years at Thalhimers' Jewelry Store in Norfolk, Virginia. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Daisy Chain II of the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.

She married Thomas Helm Jones, Jr. on June 16, 1951 in Norfolk, Virginia. The couple had three children: Mary, Sarah, and Thomas Helm Jones, III. Schoenweiss married Carl William Schoenweiss on March 12, 1993 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. She died on June 13, 2015 and was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
