Scope and Contents of the Materials

One 1916-1919 scrapbook of photographs depicting campus buildings, events, places, cadets, and other friends in and around Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia.

Biographical Note

Brooks Nottingham Anderson was born on April 27, 1898 in Norfolk, Virginia. He attended Virginia Military Institute from about 1916 to 1919. Anderson married Sallye Blassingham. He worked as Secretary and Treasurer for Wright Coal & Oil Company. He died on February 5, 1952 and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
