Name: Taylor, William E. (1809-1870)

Historical Note: William Eyre Taylor was born on February 18, 1809 in Norfolk, Virginia. He married Margaret Alice Lyon on February 22, 1831 in Northampton, Virginia. The couple had five children: Sally, Robert, Will, Archibald, and Virginia. Taylor served as a private in Company F of the 6th Virginia Infantry, also known as the Seaboard Rifles. He was also a member of the Norfolk Light Artillery Blues. Taylor died in September 1870 in Norfolk, Virginia.
