Scope and Contents of the Materials

Fourteen passes, ticket stubs, and membership cards to various venues and organizations in Norfolk and Virginia Beach dating between the late 1910s to early 1930s. These venues and organizations included are Seaside Park, Auspices Norfolk Sleuth Club, Norva Theatre, Coral Gables Kennel Club, Ocean View Park, Virginia Electric and Power Company, Woodmen of the World Club, Loyal Order of Moose, B.P.O. Elks, and Norfolk Fair.

Leon Nowitzky was a detective with the City of Norfolk Police Department in the early 20th century. These ticket stubs and venue passes were his personal collection.

Leon Nowitzky was a Norfolk Detective with the Norfolk Police Department in the 1920s who collected passes and tickets to local events and venues in the Hampton Roads area.
