Ghent Club | Sargeant Memorial Collection
Name: Ghent Club
Historical Note: The Ghent Club was established around 1902 for the middle and upper classes in Norfolk, Virginia. The Club was originally held at 222 York Street, and its membership consisted largely of individuals from the German-Jewish community. In 1920, the Ghent Club moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia and became the Lynnhaven Country Club, but it did not last due to maintenance costs.
