Historical Note: Phillip Craig Bilby was born on December 12, 1924 in Batesville, Arkansas. He served in the United States Army during World War II before working for the Ford Motor Company. He married Sally Violet Lankford on June 11, 1946 in Nansemond, Virginia. He married Annie Margaret Byrum on April 12, 1969 in Southampton County, Virginia. Bilby died on December 17, 2015 and was buried at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
