The Woman's Club of Windsor, Virginia was founded on May 23, 1930. Twelve representative ladies from Windsor, Virginia met at the home of Mrs. J. M. Raby (who became the first president of the organization) for the purpose of organizing a woman's club. The phrase "Success Crowns Labor" was chosen as the club motto. In the early years of the club, the members completed many community improvement projects, including the creation of a public park known today as George Washington Park, a library, the first lunchroom at Windsor School, and a trash pick-up route. The Club also helped financially support the fire department of the town of Windsor and formed two Girl Scout troops.
Currently, the Woman's Club of Windsor provides financial support through fundraisers to many local, domestic, and international charitable organizations, as well as provides scholarships to local high school students, sponsors a trip to Girls State, and works with other social clubs to better the community.
