Scope and Contents of the Materials

Periodicals, newsletters, correspondence, clippings, and other ephemera collected by James McNally, an English professor at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Biographical Note

James Joseph McNally, Jr. was born on September 30, 1924 in Washington, D. C. He attended the University of Virginia and graduated with a PhD in English Literature in 1961. McNally was an English professor at Old Dominion University from 1963 until his retirement in 1992. He married Margaret Jean Wilson on August 12, 1944 in Washington, D. C. McNally married Mary Elinor Griffith on December 3, 1949 in Arlington, Virginia.
