Three scrapbooks ranging in date from 1920-1952 primarily containing newspaper clippings relating to Norfolk history, the Whittle family, social life, engagements and marriages, obituaries, and British royalty.
Biographical Note
Elizabeth Calvert Page Dabney was born on March 5, 1911. She was an English professor at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia from 1962-1974. Dabney was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She died on November 21, 1979 in Norfolk, Virginia and was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.

- Includes one photograph showing 15 people in a group, with caption on back "Westover Church, August 9, 1947." Also includes poem titled "Christmas," written by Betty Page Dabney in December 1923.

- Scrapbook includes clippings, graduation cards, and booklets. Subject matter includes Norfolk history, families, poetry, the 1936 hurricane, communism, and British royalty. The scrapbook also includes the September 1936 issue of The Commonwealth, which features the anniversary of Norfolk.
- Item 2: Scrapbook 3 (Red Scrapbook), 1920-1952
- This scrapbook primarily contains clippings. Scrapbook subject matter includes engagements, marriages, obituaries, a waterspout, Norfolk history, and British royalty. There is a handwritten index attached inside the scrapbook which lists names of individuals, churches, homes, and places.
