Scope and Contents of the Materials
Volumes 13-30 of The Red Tower newsletter published by the Clan Galbraith Association of North America from 1991-2009. The collection also includes volumes 1-7 of business news in The Clan Galbraith of The Red Tower News. There are also official minutes from June 14-17, 2004 and an association roster from February 3, 2009. Additionally, the collection includes a history of the Galbraith Families of Donegal Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and Culcreuch Castle.
Biographical Note
The Clan Galbraith Society in the United States was formed in Spring 1980 with 64 members. This genealogical organization was formerly known as the Clan Galbraith Association. Membership is open to persons related by blood or marriage to the Scottish Galbraith Clan, or who can establish a reasonable connection as direct descendant of an ancestor from an approved surname list. The group meets biannually and published a quarterly newsletter The Red Tower.
