Scope and Contents of the Materials
One circa 1913-1931 scrapbook of W. J. Stanworth of Norfolk, Virginia. The scrapbook primarily consists of clippings relating to historic Norfolk and Princess Anne, Virginia. There are also nature photographs featuring areas near Broad Bay, Long Creek, and White Hill in Virginia Beach.
Biographical Note
William J. Stanworth was born on March 11, 1862 in Norfolk, Virginia. He lived at 18 Pelham Place. Stanworth was employed for about 50 years with the Norfolk & Western Railway. He died on July 30, 1930 in Norfolk, Virginia and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
