Biographical Note for Freemasons. Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Virginia (1875-) : The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Virginia Free and Accepted Masons is a fraternal organization that was established on December 16, 1875. The organization is composed primarily of African American men, and its mission is to "dispense charity, promote family values, and [we] are endeavoring to significantly aid in the uplifting of humanity." MWPHGL-VA has published its newsletter, The Bee Hive, since 1957.
