The collection includes seven clippings scrapbooks from May 1949 to February 1953 relating to local and state politics, particularly involving Virginia House of Delegates member Louis Lee Guy, Sr. Topics include annexation, parking, elections, liquor laws, poll taxes, segregation, redistricting, and Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel construction. The collection also includes certificates belonging to Louis Lee Guy, Sr. and resolutions passed by organizations to which he belonged, recognizing his life accomplishments posthumously.
