Scope and Contents: One unpublished biography entitled The Unionist about Benjamin Rowson (1850-1927) based on research compiled, organized, and produced by family member, Leah Holden in May 2025. The document describes major life events of Benjamin Rowson, outlined by a table of contents, that focuses on his early life as an immigrant to the United States of America; his career as a printer, newspaperman, and labor leader; and, family life in Norfolk, Virginia at the turn of the century. The record includes genealogies, copies of photographs, copies of newspaper clippings, and photocopies of other historical documents related to his life and career with local newspaper, The Virginian-Pilot.
