Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church is located on Tidewater Drive, formerly known as Cottage Toll Road, since 1951 in the Lafayette/Winona neighborhood of Norfolk. It began on May 1,1982 in the Brambleton section of Norfolk up until this time. Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church was named for Charles Haddon Spurgeon, who was a preacher of the Baptists faith from London, England who past away in January of 1892.
