Scope and Contents of the Materials
Correspondence, certificates, and other materials relating to George E. Ferebee of Norfolk, Virginia. The collection includes correspondence written by George E. Ferebee to his mother and grandfather while serving onboard the USS Nevada in 1918-1919. There is also an obituary of George Ferebee's father, Samuel Ferebee, a 1940s map geared toward Navy seamen for downtown Norfolk, family photographs, and an American Legion newsletter featuring a narrative history of George E. Ferebee.
