Historical Note: Virginia Ornistoun Callender Johnston was born on March 4, 1901 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She married James Brooks Johnston on June 18, 1921 in Norfolk, Virginia. Johnston was a member of the Society of Colonial Dames of America and the Loving Circle of The King's Daughters. She died on May 24, 1989 and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
