Historical Note: Hubert Bunn Bergeron, Jr. was born on June 30, 1926 in Spring Hope, North Carolina. Bergeron served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Betty Palmer. Bergeron taught for 42 years at Norfolk Public Schools, including Norview High School, Lake Taylor High School, and Booker T. Washington High School. He also taught at Anatolia College in Thessaloniki, Greece. Bergeron was co-founder of the Norfolk Theatre Center and past president of the Little Theatre of Norfolk. He died on September 10, 2010 in Waldorf, Maryland and was buried at Oak Dale Cemetery in Spring Hope, North Carolina.
