Scope and Contents of the Materials

One 1920s scrapbook containing calling cards, clippings, correspondence, and other memorabilia of Gladys Whitehead Roberts from Norfolk, Virginia.

Biographical Note

Gladys Whitehead Roberts Shriver was born on July 24, 1900 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. She married Donald W. Shriver, Sr. on October 28, 1925 in Norfolk, Virginia. Shriver was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Norfolk Woman's Club, Talbot Park Garden Club, and the Wayside Circle of the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. She died on June 14, 1985 in Norfolk, Virginia and was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
