Historical Note: David Tucker Brooke was born on April 28, 1851 or 1852 in Richmond, Virginia. He married Lucy Borland Higgins on April 7, 1880 in Norfolk, Virginia. Brooke was a lawyer and member of the Virginia Constitutional Convention from 1901-1902. He died on March 28, 1915 in Norfolk, Virginia and was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia.
