Scope and Contents of the Materials
Fourteen deeds dating from 1763-1769 concerning John Ackiss and his purchase of land, primarily in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Also includes a letter of attorney, list of Revolutionary War militia officers, two letters of correspondence with their accompanying envelopes, and the circa 1900 envelope of attorney A. Johnston Ackiss that at one time housed these eighteenth- and nineteenth-century documents.
