Biographical Note
J.H. Miles and Company was a seafood company based in the Atlantic City area of Norfolk, Virginia. The company began in 1900 harvesting, processing and packing oysters from Virginia waters, and shifted its operations to include clams in the 1960s. The company operated several commercial shellfish harvesting vessels. J.H. Miles and Company closed in 2015.
